4 Fast Family Organising Tips

Here are 4 Fast Family Organising Tips for you to try - let me know how it goes!

1. Monkey See Monkey Do
Someone has to take the lead and set the example, there is no way you can expect other household members to be organised, follow rules, or keep things tidy if you don't. Children in particular mimic behaviours, so set some good ones!

2. Hold Family Meetings
One of the best way to convey any message to your family is to have a conversation about it. A discussion about how things work (or aren't working) around the home is a great starting point and setting some expectations from the get-go is even better. This can work much better than Johnny to pick up his toys when you patience has snapped, because Johnny may not know the rule.

3. Give everyone something to do
In order for the household to remain organised it can't all be down to one person (usually you), to do everything, so everyone should have some kind of task to do. It can be as simple as making sure their laundry goes in the basket, picking up toys, emptying the dishwasher, every one has the capacity to do something.

4. Be on the same page as your spouse
Especially if you have children it is so important to have a consistent and united approach to how the household is organised. When the Partners of the house make the rules that they both agree to and the kids must adhere to, there will be much less resistance and frustration.
