De-Clutter Your Finances

I guess when we think of de-cluttering we tend to think of our homes, when we think of getting organised we think of all those odd jobs we need to do.Have you ever considered de-cluttering and organising your finances?

We seem to be fighting increasing interest rates, petrol price hikes and over the top grocery bills in pursuit of financial security.

Perhaps we are actually looking for financial serenity! What I mean is a situation where we know our finances (whatever they are) are organised efficiently and working effectively. At a basic level do you have:

  1. A system that reminds you to pay bills on time to ensure you don’t pay late fees or interest?
  2. Retain receipts that may be used to make claims through your tax return.

  3. A filing systems for receipts for all large purchases so that if you need to return them or make a warranty claim you can easily find the receipt?

  4. A process where you actually can check off charges on your credit card? I know this sounds nerdy and time consuming, but I was once charged for a antique cabinet from a store in Victoria for over $200, if I didn’t check my statement it would have been missed.

  5. Do you have a designated space in your home for your paperwork, is it filed correctly? If you had to make an insurance claim could you quickly put your hands on the policy document?

Whilst Blair Lifestyle can assist you with setting up these types of systems, what about your actual finances, are they organised and de-cluttered?
